10th Wedding Anniversary - How did YOU celebrate?

I'm looking for ideas for making our 10th wedding anniversary special. We have 2 young kiddos (5 and 2) that I would love to include in whatever. I wanted to renew our vows but am afraid of over-stressing my hubby (he has MS, is changing/possibly losing his job/taking college classes).

What did you do (or would you want to do) to make your anniversary special?

We went to France a few months before the 10th Anniversary. Bought a fancy bottle of champagne for the anniversary but never drank it. lol Maybe we'll save it for our 25th??

We are going to take a trip to Turkey for our 10th but that is still 3 years away.

A really fun thing we did for our 5th that was simple was we packed up some smokies and picnic stuff and drove to the local provincial park and had a smokie roast. Our 2 (almost 3) year old LOVED it and we really enjoyed the family time outside.

We went to Disneyland for the weekend. And left our son, who was a yr old at the time, with a very trusted sitter. It was fun! :drinker:

ours was regular--dinner out, kids home with the sitters. the one special part--adding a charm to my bracelet engraved w/Happy 10th Anniv. it's a silver tiffany bracelet that i got when i had my first child.

maybe do a slide show of the last 10 yrs or a scrapbook--have the kiddos pick the papers and embellishments. or a picnic in the park and dance to your wedding song--with the kids too.

you could google family fun night ideas and see if any of those would work for you.
    and CONGRATULATIONS!

I was considering a vow renewal, since we eloped and didn't have a "real" wedding.

But it honestly doesn't seem worth the extra stress, expense and fuss. We're having a big Halloween costume bash instead. Our anniversary is in November, so we'll celebrate early. :drinker:

We went away alone for the weekend. If you want to include your children, would you consider going on a picnic? Low stress for everybody and the little ones can run around.

Hubs and I rented a house in Colorado for 2 weeks and road-tripped it there. He tried snowboarding, we both snowmobiled, spent a lot of time in the hot tub (outside in February) and just spent a lot of time alone together. Went to an awesome zoo where we got to go inside the penguin habitat (he also fed hippos and we both fed giraffes). And we commemorated the whole thing by getting new tattoos. Ivy tendrils that start at our ring fingers and twine up to our wrists. One leaf for every year of marriage. We'll add on to it every 5 years or so. And the year we have a child will have a flower instead of a leaf.
