Hi everyone. I am new to MFP but I am not new to trying to lose weight....not by a long shot. I have been losing weight since January 2010 which is the longest I have ever stuck with eating healthy. In that time I have fallen off the wagon more than once but I keep climbing back on and it is paying dividends with my current weightloss sitting at 4st 3lb (I did get to 4st 7lb but then went on holiday and enjoyed myself a tad too much...ooopsie (LOL) Ach well it'll come off again so who cares eh those littlt times off help me to stay focussed the rest of the time.

I am getting married in October and that blasted dress refuses to fit yet but it will if it kills me...not long now I don't think. I have joined a gym on a 6 week special offer and then have a week with nothing planned so hitting the wii with vengeance and then it is onto a 4 week bootcamp with a black belt academy...if I don't fit the dress then then I guess I'm off down the aisle in my underwear...that'll give the guests a good giggle and make sure my wedding is remembered I guess :)

So anyhoo that's me yacked enough for now and I'll speak to you all again later :)

welcome. I hope that you can fit into your dress. So you don't have to walk down the isle in your underwear. :)

I did the same thing to get into my wedding dress too - that was 6 years ago and I am back here - so, keep it up and keep it off I say! I was 165 the day I got married and if I had kept going I would have reached my goal weight, but I yoyo'd, so this time IS the last time I do this.

I know you will get into your dress - you have the perfect motivation (no one wants to be seen in their undies!).

I hope you will keep inspiring the rest of us on here too when you reach that goal - we need uplifting stories of success like yours to make us realize we too can do it!

Good luck, good health, and happiness for that wedding - and believe me when I say, you won't have time to eat any of that lovely food you will have at the wedding - I think between greeting everyone, photos and dancing and playing the good hosts, I barely got to eat a thing on my wedding day!

Just hit the person's name above thier pic and it will take you to the profile, there on the right next to the pic on the profile will be an option to add as a friend.

To add friends go to "MY HOME" and about halfway down it says Don't diet alone and there is an option to add friends there!

Are you from Scotland? It's the ach, makes me think of a friend of mine. And yeah, you might get to taste something, but we had a buffet room pre main reception and by the time we (the bride and groom) got there, there was no food left, and I'd been so nervous I hadn't eaten lunch. I barely got a bite of my wedding cake, my nephew ate it, and I think we had chicken and steak for the main courses, but who knows, I didn't get more than a bite before it was off to do something else. You will not however care, you'll be too happy to think about food!!!

Oooh outed, me and my scots is hard to hide so I'm guessing someone would have guessed soon...I'm really bad for typing how I talk so if I write something unintelligible just give me a swift kick.

I am from pretty far North...about an hour from Inverness...don't know if you know Scotland at all ?
