    Can you make your diary public, so everyone can tell you what they think the problem is. It is probably either not eating enough, or eating too much of the wrong kinds of food, but I bet the first one.

    I dont know for sure but I would suggest cutting the weight training for now and stick to cardio. I've also ready if you vary your calorie intake a little it helps your body not get used to a certain calorie intake level where it settles and stops losing. Starts taking measurements...you might not be losing weight but you could be losing inches from the weight training. Muscle weighs more then fat after all Just stick to it. Even if you aren't losing pounds your are making yourself healthier by doing this. Feel free to add me if you need extra support!

    If you are still eating what ever you want you could be eating too much, too much sodium, too much processed sugar, etc.
    I say focus on cardio for the most part, maybe 1 - 2 days of light strength training (muscle burns fat) and really pat attention to how you are fueling your body.

    Are you doing Cardio before strength training? I did a lot of research and "most" of them say that for weight loss, cardio first is best. Of course that is probably not the same for everyone, as I said, "Most" of them say that. One thing I would not cut out is the weight training. Muscle burns more calories than fat and continues to burn calories for a while afterwards. Whatever you do though, just stick with it. :)

    P.S. I personally suspect it may be the diet. Is it protien restrictive? I currently for the next 3 days am on the first "diet" since I started, just trying to re jump start my metabolism. But from the beginning I didnt "diet". I just stopped drinking all soda (with the exception of an occasional Fresca after the first month), I cut out ALL fast food. I cut out all use of Sugar and salt (just what I added after the fact), all potato/corn chips and of course no sweets of any kind. I also decreased portion size. I still ate fairly well and althuogh my 2 favorite foods is Coke and Chips, I didnt really feel like I was dieting so it was very easy to maintain. Just ate a lot of fruit...lol

    Just my personal thoughts. Good luck, you can do it!

    Don't be too strict with your workouts hun. Your body needs a day of rest in between days of workouts and that actually helps boost weight loss. Don't stick just to strength training, mix it up with some yoga, and some cardio too. And stick to your diet but make sure you are watching your water intake as well. The more water you drink, the better the weight loss. And if you are still not losing weight, you are probably toning up which in that case, muscle weighs more than fat, keep that in mind. I always have awesome luck with Jillian Michael's dvds, especially her 30-Day one. Maybe try some of those out? And keep up the support! You need positive people around you and need to be in the right frame of mind. I have a few people who turn my weight loss journey into a competition and who continently judge me for what I do. It's not ok and definitely messes with the weight loss. I wish you all the luck in the world, be patient, the loss will come! :)

    Muscle weighs more than fat, so your fat is probably slowly burning but you're building muscle as well -- so you're "even-ing out" in a sense with your weight. Also, when you first start exercising again, you need to take it easy. Jumping in and working out 5 days per week is a lot of stress suddenly on your body and can lead to water buildup in the muscles, and also muscle damage. Water and blood filling your muscles could be the reason for the initial lack of weight loss. I personally would cut the strength training and do cardio first to burn unwanted fat and lose some water weight. Get down to your goal weight and then strength train and tone to where your body looks good to you.

    Also... TOTALLY no offense on this and I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I just had a look at your food diary. The beer you're consuming might be a culprit in the lack of weightloss. Again, not trying to be rude... just saying that I notice a lot of beer in the diary. Beer has a lot of empty calories and also causes bloating. Also, if you're actually fully filling out your diary... you're yo-yo-ing a lot on your calorie intake. Some days you're over, some days you're 400-500 calories under. That's not good for your body. You need to keep a steady intake of calories to keep your metabolism up.

    I know how you feel! I have been using MFP for the last 6 weeks and have actually put 4lbs on! :-(. I am exercising between 3-5 times per week and having looked at my progress food report have gone over calories but never over 1800 at any one time. I know the average person needs 2000 cals a day but my average is 1200 a day worked out over 30 days. I am however toning. I do sometimes feel like dropping the exercising and just dieting to see what happens! I do aqua tone, swimming, gym, running and walking. I am hoping the weight will start to come off soon. Good luck and if you find a "cure" please let me know :-)

    So drinking beer and mountain dew is what you call a "very strict diet" ?

    Please find out what your caloric maintenance is every day, and eat a deficit. You are going to have to cut out the beer and cut out the mountain dew and evaluate what you are eating and what your diet plan looks like. Your diary is a complete mess.

    The beer that you see is not a regular habit-I had two weddings this weekend which explains the beer intake and not the greatest food. I usually stick to under my caloric intake of 1200. I also don't have a week and a half worth of healthy eating on here since I only joined the site a week ago. I also used to drink about 4 cans a pop per day so I think it's okay to have some here and there. I don't have pop every day anymore and drink way more water than I ever have. The Mt. Dew was to help me stay awake on the two hour trip back from the wedding at 3:30 in the morning. And yes, I believe I have been sticking to a pretty good diet minus this last weekend which I made the most out of given the situation and events happening.

    Well as I said, I was pretty strict in cutting out the good stuff, but it was hard and I saw a great benefit in the beginning. This last week I only lost 2 lbs (which I KNOW is good) but it was a little disheartening after do many good weeks. So after weighing in on Saturday I decided to try this three day diet. So This weekend I ate 2 BLTS (Heavy on the "B" and mayo) and a nice sized slice of icecream cake. And go figure, I weighed in this morning and lost 2 lbs this weekend. Danged if I know how, maybe just confused the body. Bottom line is when you can put forth the diet effort to go along with the exercise you will lose weight. And someone else said something important, having friends and family supporting you is awesome. My Wife, Brother in law, son and 2 nieces are all doing it together and we are having a blast working out. Even turned the garage into a gym, doing Cardio, Tae-bo, abs and weights together...:) Makes a world of difference. And when co-workers actually make comments about your weight loss its a great feeling...Stick with it! :)
