BOOOOOOO!

So, today is bikram, water, vits. . .a meeting with my advisor to get my latest project torn to shreds, etc.

Also, I just learned that my two year old granddaughter is going out trick or treating dressed as a ninja. I think this is the coolest thing ever, and it's making me have a "happy flappy".

Have a great day, Take care of yourselves.:flowerforyou:

Happy Halloween everyone! My biggest goal of the day: stay away from the candy!

Yesterday, I completed my first yoga class and the instructor threw in some thai chi at the end, which honesty, I could have done without, but I liked the yoga! During Survivor last night, I worked on stretching out my muscles some more because I have a sad range of motion.

Today, I am trying to hunt down a copy of 30-day-shred so I can begin that tonight. And I plan to get down the gym to do about 40 minutes hard cardio this afternoon.

    Have a safe day!

A scary fitness day? Would that be a day off or 2 boot camps back to back?

One year, my friend's kids went as the Marx brothers (she has four kids) - that made me happy flappy too. Not dressing up this year. I figure at 36, I can skip it. I don't usually have a party to go to. The candy doesn't taste that good to me anymore, so that's no big deal - of course, I don't get anything I like - no M&Ms here. Maybe I'll go to the Cookie Lounge tomorrow...yumm.

Yesterday was a little light workout wise. Bike ride and short walk. I just ran out of time. Today, I'm going to the gym for some elliptical.

I need a little advice on what normal people eat - a friend's mom (same one as above with the four kids, oddly enough) just died and I was going to take her a meal. I was bringing roasted chicken and a veggie rice soup - what else would you bring?

AAAAAH!! You scared me, Viv! :noway:

Lasagna is always good because they can just stick it in the freezer if they aren't ready to eat it yet. We've been cooking a lot for friends having babies over the past couple years - things we've made that I remember are: lasagna, veggie chili, hummus, pizza, bread (we have a bread machine, so this is easy), pasta with pesto, salad, cookies. We might have done an asian noodle salad once. But we may not qualify as "normal"!

I did Zumba and pushups last night. Zumba was a little lower-energy than usual, but still fun. Pushups were tough. Today, my goals are drinking enough water and having only a couple of pieces of candy. Hopefully there'll be time for a walk after lunch. Happy Halloween! (and sorry if that offends anybody... I just discovered that there's a guy at work who's offended by Halloween - I had no idea! :embarassed: )

Yesterday was a lazy movie night instead of yoga...whoops! Today is loots of water, Legs & Back, and Ab Ripper. Should be fun for a Friday evening. Other than that I have a couch covered in folded laundry that needs put away and the bathroom could use a nice scrub, so I think it's going to be a tidy-up weekend. Good luck to those of you with temptations! I don't have any candy anywhere near me so I'm good...I forgot it was even Halloween today until I saw a coworker walk past my window dressed as Peter Pan.

To me, this is weird. I know that some people do not celebrate it, but why offended? I'm not offended by holidays I don't celebrate, like say Valentine's Day.

I thought it was weird, too - it was the first time I had encountered it. He's very religious, so I'm guessing it's the historic connection with pagan/pre-Christian traditions that makes him uncomfortable. A lot of holidays are like that, though, so I don't know if there is something else particular about Halloween. We were in a meeting that was pretty much done, and people started talking about Halloween costumes and plans, so he just walked out.

Of course, I hear plenty of things at work that make me uncomfortable (particularly during this political season!). Not much to do but grin and bear it.

OK - backing away from controversy now. Whew!

    Hi all. Busy morning.
I am a Christian and although I don't really care for Halloween myself, I'm not going to go out and tell everyone they are going to hell for going trick or treating. My son could care less about dressing up (it would probably irritate him anyway) and he can't eat most of the candy that's out there, so we don't do anything. No biggie. So I hope you all have a good time and stay out of the candy!
We went to vote last night and everything was going fine until my son decided to trip all over himself and fall in front of me just as they called my name to go up, so then I stepped on his hand. There went the screaming. :grumble: He's kind of a klutz so this happens a lot. I try not to get embarrassed but I do. But at least I voted and it's done.
I ate more at lunch than I intended but I could have eaten a lot more than I did! So I have to work that off this afternoon. So it looks like catching up on water, taebo and push ups. I'd better get started.
    Have a happy day!

my day was walk the dog followed by walk the dog and again walk the dog! No cardio. Knees are sore. Not dressing up for holloween. No one around but me tonight and I live so far out the kids don't come. I like holloween but my kids are all grown, but it is fun hearing the kids on the bus tell me what they are going to be and it changes from day to day until holloween. I don't give out candy that way I can't eat it. I do give them all something yummy to eat at Christmas! So most of my water, lots of walking and I ate reasonably not like last night ugh! See you all later, have a nice weekend.

I'm tired. This evening we went to Lowe's and Walmart since we didn't have candy for the kids (hey at least I wasn't tempted). We're trying to build Alex's bed (Thomas the Train), so we went to price wood and paint and calculate all we need for it. We were out walking around for 3 hours! I burned about 850 calories today! Yay! I don't feel so bad for having Arby's for dinner since I burned it all off!
