Hey friends,
Has anyone worked Zone Nutritional Bars into their diets? I had one the other day and thought it was delicious and thought to myself "this can't be good for me" lol. Just wondering everyone's thoughts on them?
Also, I saw a new cleanse (detox) and restore system through GNC, its basically a lemonade drink you take every morning or night...does anyone know if these types of systems work? I just need some guidance and also other ways to lose weight! I'm struggling.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Right now I keep a Zone bar in my bag as an 'emergency' meal. http://zoneperfect.com/products/ZonePerfect-Classic-Chocolate-Peanut-Butter
Yes, they do taste like a candy bar. Maybe too good, as you point out. It's something that keeps and is a better alternative than stopping by, say Starbucks, and buying a blueberry scone. http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-starbucks-coffee-blueberry-scone-i57011 (yikes!!) A tall nonfat latte http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-starbucks-coffee-caffe-latte-i57037 and a Zone bar comes to about 340 calories, contain significant protein calories, and is a substitute for a meal.
I'm probably going to switch back to the Premier Protein bar though. http://www.premiernutrition.com/protein-bar-nutrition.html
Premier has more calories, but those extra calories are almost entirely from protein (210 cal/14g vs. 270-290cal/30g). I think I feel hungrier on a day I've eaten a Zone bar. Not ravenous, but just a bit hungrier later in the day. Premier contains no high-fructose corn syrup or other modified sugars, which might explain the delayed hunger reaction with the Zone bar. Zone tastes better, but the Premier taste just fine too. Both are available at Costco. I think it is valuable to experiment with different brands and see what works best for you.0
