Weekends are tough

I've gained about 5 lbs in the last 2 months and it's kind of difficult. Granted I was eating what I wanted and started tracking again in the last week and lost 1.8 lbs in the last week. However, I'm sticking with it and making sure I measure everything. What's rough is trying to figure out some of the things I make. I don't use boxes, I make food from scratch so it's a PAIN in the butt to calculate the total calories of what I'm making and then figuring out how many cals per serving. Anyone have any place where theres a recipe builder. This would help a lot.
I'm working on the exercise part, the only problem is that I have a heart condition that is triggered by exercise (hence the initial weight gain). I guess I have to stick with yoga and stuff. o.O

If you cook the same things often, you can build recipes here on MFP: Food tab then Recipes.
I'm in the same boat as far as weekends go....I have my weekdays all planned out, and then on the weekends I'm usually a lot more active so I'm way hungrier, plus I don't have my regular weekday stuff at home (I keep it in the fridge at work). I'm still trying to get my weekends under control0 -
I start my weekend out Saturday morning with a looong exercise session. That way I know I have burned alot of calories and then I feel better about the whole thing. No help on the cooking though from me, I am a terrible cook.

They need to add that functionality to the mobile portion. I'm usually on my iPhone and not on the computer. Ug. :-|0

Someone had posted this website a while back.

I bookmarked it but haven't really tried it so I don't know how accurate it is.
Weekends are toughest for me too. I usually gain a pound every weekend and work all week to lose it again.0 -
I found they do have the recipe function on the iphone app. I tried it last night and it worked great. Can even use the bar code scanner with it. When you go to add to your diary, pick your meal then look at the tabs across the top - recipes tab is at far right. You'll have to click create a new recipe. You enter your ingredients and number of servings and it calculates amounts per servings. I think I'm going to like this (even though I don't cook too often lol)0
