Calories Burned???

Today I walked 3 miles on the threadmill at the gym. I also wore my pedometer while doing so. Both the treadmill and pedometer had different readings as well as the MFP website. The treadmill and pedometer were a little over 100 calories off. They had the same time and distance though. I was walking between 3.6 and 3.8 mph. None of the three are even close to each other. I went with the MFP sites. But which is most accurate? ANYONE?

Use a heart rate monitor that you enter in your height and weight. It's the only way to know0

The only way you are going to be even close to accurate is with a Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) Be sure you can enter your height and weight and has a chest strap.0

I have that problem also. I just decided if I get on my treadmill I use treadmill reading. I use my pedometer for my everyday walking.0

I would add up the various numbers (pedometer, machine, MFP) and divide by 3 to get an average of the three measurements, then log the average.
Better yet get a Heart Rate Monitor watch with the chest strap. Make sure it has the chest strap, that you record your height and weight, and that it measures calories burned.0 -
I can't really see how a pedometer can accurately measure calories burned... and treadmills are notoriously flawed.0
