Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope you are all having a great start to the week, and hopefully didn't end up spraying a protein shake all over you at the office like I did this afternoon :-) Gave my coworkers a good chuckle so no worries and thankfully we've a large supply of extra company T-Shirts on hand!

Anyway!!!!! I was wondering if anyone from the NYC/Northern NJ area had any suggestions on some fun activities to keep me active but also enjoy the city or surrounding area. My goals this summer are to keep up with my fitness regime (which involves working out through Zumba/Aeroboxing/Personal Training 5x per week) but also to have a fun summer while increasing my overall general activity (times when I'm not specifically working out but want to get out and do something rather than just sitting in the house). I'm going tubing on the Delaware river this weekend, I'm also thinking a stroll around central park with my dog would be fun...but I would love some additional options and opinions from those who have any and know the area or did something fun on vacation here.

Solo and group activity suggestions welcome!

Thanks in advance...I love how helpful and supportive everyone is on this site...I'm completely addicted to it now!

Julie

Just saw this! I'm in Northern NJ too - Montclair area.

There are lots of things to enjoy the area. There's the "boardwalk" from Hoboken to Jersey City, which has a great city view. In Essex County, there's Eagle Rock Reservation, Mills Reservation, and South Mountain Reservation, all of which have hiking trails. There are parks with paddle boats.

There's endless opportunities for walking, jogging, etc in the City.

If you also just need a goal to train for... consider the Warrior Dash or Tough Mudder.

There's a TM in the tri-state area and the end of this year.
