apparently swiss miss has a sugar free hot chocolate... I found a sugar free hot apple cider mix today and i was stoked!!
  • I've tried the sugar free kind, too, and it's pretty good. Jewel - the big grocery chain in my area - even has a generic brand that's good. In fact, I've got some in the pantry - I might go have a cup!

I will have to try and search a little bit harder for sugar free hot chocolate and now since I know it tastes good I won't be so hesitant about buying it. Thank you.

Me too!! I found the Special Dark Hershey's cocoa powder and I use light soymilk (I have a dairy sensitivity). The trick is to add the cocoa powder & splenda to a mug and then SLOWLY add the milk to make it sort of a paste, then keep stirring to fill the mug. Microwave for about a minute, then stir and heat again til hot (don't boil). It's my favorite chocolatey treat for low cals!

My family never uses sugar free anything however what we have begun doing is taking some warm milk or other milk substitute like soy or almond milk and adding it to a syrup of agave nectar and cocoa. Very tasty and its better for you.

I just add the cocoa powder and Splenda in a saucepan and add a small amount of hot water to make it a syrupy consistancy. I put it on the stove and add the milk and stir til hot.:drinker:

I'm trying to stay away from artificial sweeteners, too. I love agave nectar on oatmeal or in plain fage yogurt...YUM!! I also adding dates to my blender drinks instead. I do drink a lot of the flavored waters, though, because no matter how hard I try I just can't drink straight water. I don't think agave nectar and water would be a good combo..

But, Jessie....I have had Nestle Carb Select hot chocolate. It's pretty good!

Try having water with a bit of agave nectar anda bit of flavoring. I love marchino cherries and lime. I makes a yummy addition to your water.

Agreed! I use 2 packs in a BIG mug and then top it off with a little fat free whipped cream. It's so great for this season - warms you up and satisfies your sweet tooth! :drinker:
