HIIT to lose belly fat?

ive been reading up about HIIT and lifting heavy on one of the websites recommended here by people. Does it work? and did you manage to tighten up your tummy muscles? Im looking to tighten my belly post baby, its flat atm because of circui training but i want to get rid of my pouch!!. would love to know what you do and how heavy you lift etc. my strength training atm consists of light weights (6lbs), pushups, lunges, squats etc. also do the 30 day shred. Now i know its not enough but im working on it! would love some recommendations. I was always under the assumption that i would bulk up but i realise now that i was being ignorant and that wont happen! any tips would be fab!

    Hiit is high intensity interval training. Check out BodyRock.tv and you will see a great way to do high intensity training

    I need to get rid of my belly too. well, mainly the flab that's left after losing weight. I def. don't look 9 months preggo anymore, maybe 6 now if I'm slouching, LOL. ;) (ps-- my son is 9!, lol) I always carried most of my weight in my stomach.. As does my mom, grandmother and aunt. ;)

    I heard strength training tightens up the stomach area. Since I"m only losing 1.5-2lbs a week, i'm hoping the skin shrinks back.

    How do sit-ups or the exercise where you're on the floor, and you bring up your knee to touch your opposite elbow? Is that a sit up too? LOL

    Those are called bicycle crunches, they're awesome. You do them like you're riding a bike and crunch at the same time with your belly while bringing your elbows to the opposite knee. They work great for targeting your hips also ;)
