Your body doesn't let go of anything you eat if it's been starving for a while. At 5'7 and 140, and working out, you're probably not supposed to be limiting to 1200.

I've upped mine from 1200 to 1500 because I was hungry all the time and because i have an active lifestyle i'm still losing 2 pounds a week. I think it does depend on how active, how tall and how heavy you are. I did weight watchers and because my friend was so tall she got loads more points to eat than I did. i'm 5'6 and still in the obese range on my bmi so I'm just going to keep on eating 1500 till I get to maintenance.

I have just under 1600 for my calories and i'm rarely hungry so fingers crossed it will work. With BMI i take it with a pinch of salt, i'm short, and over weight, and well the weight it wants to be, as i'm big boned, will not work! i feel as long as i'm healthy and happy with my dress size i'll be happy!
