Difference between diet profile and BMR?

In my goals section it says:
YOUR DIET PROFILE TARGET
Calories Burned
From Normal Daily Activity 2300 calories/day
For a 1000 Cal diet, that's a net burn of 1300 Cal/day.

But in the tools section, for the Basal metabolic rate calculator it says:
Your estimated BMR is: 1,837 calories/day
For a 1000 Cal diet, that's a net burn of 837 cal/day.

That's quite a difference - what's the deal?

Does the first one include walking around, standing up, normal stairs, lifting arm to eat, etc? The second one is more like if I was confined to bed all day?

You guessed it. The BMR is the amount of calories your body is expected to burn just existing. If you were bed-ridden or in a coma or really did NOTHING.

This is the definition from the MFP BMR Page:
Your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is an estimate of how many calories you'd burn if you were to do nothing but rest for 24 hours. It represents the minimum amount of energy needed to keep your body functioning, including breathing and keeping your heart beating.
Your BMR does not include the calories you burn from normal daily activities or exercise.

Yes, the "normal daily activity" calories include those calculated for the activity level you entered - sedentary, lightly active etc.
