30 Day Shred vs. Ripped in 30

Hey all,

I am on my second round of 30DS (great DVD!) and have been hearing a lot about Ripped in 30. I've looked it up and it seems to be the same sort of 3-2-1 (strength, cardio, abs) deal, only with 4 workouts, one workout progressing up each week, for 4 weeks.

However, how different (or not different!) is the Ripped DVD from 30DS? If I already have 30DS, is it worth getting Ripped? I'd love to hear from people who have tried both!

P.S. my only beef with 30DS is that my arms/shoulders get worked so much more than my abs, but I suppose that's what happens when you do 3-2-1 (only 1 min of abs per circuit), so I don't THINK Ripped would be any different? (Correct me if I'm wrong).

Thanks all!

**I love JM DVDs - I have 30DS, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism (hard!), No More Trouble Zones (so tough!), Six Week Six Pack (love it!), Shred It With Weights (great workout!) - so feel free to allude to those in your "reviews" for me :-)

I have done both. I found that there is less jumping around on the ripped in 30. I had also better results with the ripped in 30.

I have done 2 rounds of 30day shred - one round of ripped in 30 and I am on another round of 30day shred just to mix it up again. I love them both! Ripped in 30 is a bit longer (I think like 35 min warm up cool down included) and at first, I thought it was harder..but back on round 1 week 1 of 30d shred - I don't know, I was sore as hell.

I think you just use different muscles in both workouts - they are both hard, I would totally get ripped in 30 if you like 30day shred. I am also doing 6wk 6pk pretty much every other day - I love that one too!

I like Ripped in 30 a lot. I think as the levels progress, it gets a lot harder. 30DS progressed but I didn't feel like I couldn't do some of the moves. With Ripped, I feel inept with the level progression. I obviously do the modified moves, but even those are a bit too hard sometimes. I never stop though; I find a similar move that I can do and do it.

However- the strength circuits include 3 moves instead of 2. I have found with the 3 moves, I push myself harder because I don't have to do it as long.

Just my opinion. I also love all the JM dvds. I have all of the same ones as the OP. I'm a big fan!

Best of luck to you :)
