I am on my second day here. I was told by a friend about this site and she is right this is a great site. I am using this in combination with my wii fit and other wii exercise program. Since I quit smoking a year ago I put on 30lbs which is in addition to the 10+lbs I needed to lose before that. I started the exercise regimen 5 weeks ago before knowing about this site, i have dropped 10lbs and now I have a place I can also monitor my food and everything else combine. If that does not keep me on track, nothing will. It is great to read all the posts, it feels like having a huge crowd of friends supporting your efforts without a word being spoken. I am going back home to France the 3rd week of Sept for a month and I want to be able to fit in something else than baggy shirts and dresses.

Welcome aboard! mfp is a great site as you've mentioned and if you are committed you will receive positive results.

    Best of luck!

Way to be! I'm new today too. My goal is both big and long-term—and maybe unrealistic, but hey, if you shoot for the stars you're bound to land somewhere good. :)

I had a baby three weeks ago and I'm breastfeeding, so I have to lose the weight slowly, but I am 178 and want to get back to my pre-pregnancy 155 and lose another 10 for a final goal of 145. I want to lose a pound a week, which means I'll be working at this for months and months, but I know I can do it! I want to be a healthy and pretty mama for my little girl and my husband. Good luck to everyone here.

@sexys2 Funny enough my goal exactly the same as yours, we are at the same weight and shooting for the same end result. My weight gain is due to quitting cigarettes that's the only difference. I do have to be realistic as well since I am older than you with a metabolism that is very slow. I'll be checking up on you. Good luck I know we can do it.
