How Do I Log This Activity? (Newfoundlander may know)

Hey All,

I burn wood in the winter months here to heat my home. i just threw out three truck loads myself and packed it all up into tiers myself, I am sweating like a fricken pig, alot of bending and stretching, kinda like sqats I guess. How in the world would I classify this to see how many calories I burned?

Thanks in advance

hmmm.... there is one for chopping wood. I've done what you just did, stacking wood sucks! Do you have a heart rate monitor? That is your best way to track accurately.

    Hello!
I had to get a HRM that tracks burned calories for such activities, but before I got it I would look in the database under cardio for an activity that best resembled what I was doing. Perhaps "aerobics" or "circuit training" would work for you.

I never even heard of a heart rate monitor, but now I am googling it to find out more info, I am going to look into getting one of these gadgets forsure ( Hubby will love that I have bought yet something else to help me loose weight......lol)

Thanks for all the advice.................. I am really starting to get into MFP!!
  • I think there is a moving one on here. I had to pack up my classroom and move heavy things and I used this. I think there are different levels (light loads/heavy loads) maybe this would work?
