Hmm think thats a word. I joined MFP about 3 weeks ago and lost 4lbs in the first week which was a huge surprise. I know it is early days yet but i just cant seem to loose any more and i am finding my motivation is going. I am eating healty things and within my calories. I am doing at least double the amount of excercise that mfp has suggested i do.
Is it possibel my body os maybe catchign up with the 4lbs i lost in the first week, before i loose any more?

Dont give up, it's a marathon not a sprint, cut your goals into small portions, dont look at the whole picture or it will overwhelm you.
Good luck0 -
The same thing happened to me. I lost then hit a 2 week plateau and now I'm losing regularly again. Just keep with it, I think it's just our bodies adjusting...0

If you stick with it, you will ultimately be successful. The only way to fail is to quit. Hang in there and focus on eating healthy food within your calorie limits. One day you will wake up and another two or three pounds may all come off at once.0

are you eating your exercise points or are you putting your body into starvation mode?
I had results like yours as well and I needed to start eating some/all of my exercise points. I also noticed that my inches and body shape were changing even though the numbers weren't.
Don't worry so much about the numbers and look at the bigger picture, it totally helps!

I'm going through the same exact thing. 4 lbs the first week then nothing, weigh the exact same even though I have been doing my exercises and staying within my calorie goals. There is one thing that I have keeping me going, i lost an inch in the waist and hips. So I have to be doing something even if the scale isnt' reflecting it0

Since this is a life style and not a diet, it's a bit early to be discourage since it's something you will have to do for the rest of your life.
I have lost 15 pounds....in the last 9 months so you are doing great. Make sure you eat enought. Enjoy the journey. This is not a sprint.0 -

Hang in there. I've been dieting/exercising since January - i just went 6 weeks straight without losing a single pound. I was eating under my calorie limit, exercised daily. One day alone i rode my bike (pedal bike not motor) 40 miles and lost nothing....i was so depressed when i got on the scale the next morning because i just knew after that ride i'd surely lose something....but no the scale didn't move. I've been taking measurements and that really help me stick with it...seeing the inches being lost. Was wearing 22 now i fit into a size 12 and they are baggie (yes!!!)
Last week i switched up my exercise plan and (finally) lost 4 pounds all in the the same week.
I've lost a total of 49 pounds so far - still have 35 to go to get to my goal weight (pre marriage weight). My hubby is doing this also and he's lost 72 pds so far.
Don't give up.0 -
hang in there hun! you are doing everything right x0

i have noticed my kids are making healthier choices already.
That's almost reason enough, but you'll find that you start losing again soon, hang in there0 -
well don't forget with exercise your body builds muscle wich weighs more than fat, so that may be the reason why your not appearing lighter on the scales. also as well its normal for us women to put on a few pounds when we are on our period, and then it comes straight off when where finished. don't forget aswell to vary your exercise so that your constantly challenging your body. and don't worry your doing great so far keep up the good work.0

Once again thanks everyone. I am going to take some measurements tonight, i didnt think 4lbs would have done anything to change my shape but as i have had to put a safety pin in my excersie trousers to stop them falling down tonight i am clearly just loosing in other ways0
