Morning folks! Hope everyone enjoyed the extra hour last night.
Yesterday, I walked and did the elliptical. Also did the push-up test on my fists. I did 11. My husband is going to try it with me. He did 17 but could probably do more. I did a few weights reps as well. Today I'm going for a bike ride/errands.
Happy Workouts all!

Yesterday, I did 60 minutes on the elliptical & a 20 minute walk between stifts at work.
Today, I'm going to do 30 minutes on the elliptical in a minute, then go back to work, and whilst waiting for the dinner to cook, I'll do another 30 minutes in the elliptical.
Later, I want to do 10 minutes on the tummy cruncher too :happy:0 -
Hi,
I'm trying to be chipper this morning. Alex woke up four times last night and I just didn't sleep well. Worrying I guess since he had a fever. After taking Tylenol two different times it has gone away for the moment and he seems fine this morning. I was suppose to meet with a friend this morning that I hadn't seen in about 10 years, but I didn't get much sleep and I don't know if Alex is sick or not. My friend lives close to where my family lives so maybe I can see her over the holidays.
Today I am going to be cleaning up the house and working on Alex's bed. We're pretty excited about it. My hubby's afraid he's going to screw it up. If he messes up (cutting wood) then we'll just go get more! And I may do the push ups test if I am feeling up to it. My upper arms have been twitching for two days. Ha ha. Erg and just now my hubby said we left dinner out last night. :explode: I got caught up in taking care of Alex that I forgot about it. Great now I've wasted food AND I have to cook lunch now.
Is this Monday?

Yesterday I went for a 45 min walk (with one of my dogs) and I did my strength training to that Biggest Loser dvd with Jillian Michaels...Power Sculpt its called. I posted a thread about it yesterday for advice on how to log that into my strength training for the day but I guess no one has used it or knows because I didnt get ANY replies:frown:
Today Im just going to do some grocery shopping and I want to do my push ups test for the hundredpushups challenge:drinker:
Have a great Sunday everyone!!

Nonibug,
I think you can log the BL dvd as circuit training. That's probably what I would put it as. Or it may have strength training in the cardio section. Hope this helps!

Ahhh! Thank you MM!:flowerforyou:

Sorry your kiddo is sick, Melissa. :frown: I hope everyone is better today. Good luck with your test - you can do it! :flowerforyou: You too, Roni!
11 is an awesome initial test, Mary! Especially on your fists. I haven't decided if I am testing tonight or tomorrow - I should probably do it tonight so I get back on the M-W-F schedule, but we'll see. It is nice to see so many new faces joining the challenge.
It was great to have the extra hour last night! We went to a concert last night a little over 3 hours away, so we didn't get home until about 1:30. Excellent concert and I was still up by 10am! Today should be project time mostly, although I may end up raking the yard. And I need to get in one more 'good' workout for the week, so I'll probably do Shred and/or my cardio bellydancing one.
Yikes, I guess I'd better get to it! I am thinking of posting some pictures, too - we'll see if I have time. This time next week I'll be heading to your neck of the woods, Mary!Happy Sunday!

Oh, just one more thing to add - I went shopping yesterday because ALL of my pants were loose. I headed straight for the size 10s (can't remember the last time I wore that size), and every single one I tried fit! So I treated myself to 2 pairs. The only thing I forgot was to pick up a new belt for the rest of my pants - even the belt I have is too big now.
OK - now I'm really off to work. :flowerforyou:0 -
Good afternoon, everyone! I normally get pretty lazy on the weekend, but I've been pretty good this one.
Biggest accomplishment--I've stayed away from all the left over Halloween candy and am going to donate it to my office tomorrow.
I've worked out using the shred DVD both yesterday and today now and my quads are killing me! It hurts to walk up and down the stairs. Tonight, we're having a healthy dinner and then I'm going to relax on the couch. I've prepped our dinners for the week ahead and even made lunches for tomorrow (I feel very accomplished!)
Tomorrow my goals are to get to the gym for 40 minutes of cardio and then shred in the evening.0 -
I completely forgot to check in today.
Um. . .today I drank a hundred bottles of water (approximate) finished my conference paper (for now. . .) went to bikram, ate sushi and weighed myself for the first time since I started to eat "intuitively."
and. . .I've lost three pounds. I don't care if they're water weight, or less bloat from quitting wheat (I put on a pair of pants I couldn't button two weeks ago and they were really loose) or actual weight, but I'm pretty darn pleased. Especially since the whole catalyst for taking a break was because I'd gained five pounds. I was feeling smaller. . .
Hope Alex is better real soon. . .
and hope everyone remembered to "take care of yourselves" without my reminder.:flowerforyou:

Hi everyone, well back to normal, last one to post, lol. Yesterday was a total loss foodwise and exercisewise. I left at 10 am for the highschool girls soccersemi-finals and was back in the school yard at 5:15PM. Real tired from the driving. It's stressful going someplace you have never been to before and have to be there by a certain time. Thankfully it someone gave me really good directions.
Then I just watched tv and talked with my youngest daughter who was down for the weekend.
Today I woke up very sore. Must have been all the sitting with the sore hip from the dog. Did good on my food today and went grocery shopping so I got a little walking in lol.
MM hope you son feels better soon. Mary thanks for info on the gentle leader. CP congrats on the new size. I too was really happy the day I went into a size 12. I hadn't been there for years. GMukris I wish I was so organized, it would help me. I know I have missed a few of you. Hi to Nonibug, love that name. See you all tomorrow.0
