Easy start strength

I've decided to help build muscle and not lose it while I'm doing cardio I should add some strength exercises to my routine as well. However I don't like gyms. Am in the process of moving so my little 5lb weights are packed up with my jump rope and therapy bundgy. And also I threw out my shoulder the other day playing wii baseball. As fun as it was I am now stuck to icy hot, ibuprofen, and ice packs to ease the muscle.

Anyway backstory finished I need some simple easy strength exercises to get me started. I haven't been active in a few years so I don't want to over do myself out of the gate but some easy things I could do around the house would be great.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance :flowerforyou:

I am interested too. I would love to add in some strength and weights but have no idea how without a gym.
  • Haha I had never really thought of that but very creative I like it.

Lunges and squats can be done without any weights to get you started on your legs. Push ups, core exercises like planks, sit ups are also very good.

look up body weight exercises. They really do work. Push ups, crunches, chair dips, squat thrusts curls with a milk jug full of water or sand...etc. there are tons of exercises you can do for little or no money.
  • Thanks. I will look into those.
