Only 8 days till I hit the beach...

how can I really shift into gear and lose max amount/ shape up super fast? I'm pretty fit but still about 7lb too heavy for my liking and am looking for quick results....ideas??

There isn't really any healthy way to lose 7 lbs in 8 days. Not to say that you CAN'T do it, but it wouldn't be healthy and would most likely be water weight... not fat.
You CAN, however, stick to your calorie goal and expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week the healthy way like the rest of us on MFP. Then the NEXT time you go to the beach you can do so knowing that you look great and were healthy doing it.0 -

your diary isnt public so we cant see what you are eating ect. Now given you cant lose 7lbs in 8 days but you CAN reduce bloat/water retention by keeping your sodium level below 1500 and avoiding processed carbs and trying to drink 1oz of water per lb of body weight to flush anything unneccessary from your system0

Please feel free to... BITE ME. I was simply promoting the healthy ideas that this website is based on. MFP does not recommend attempting to lose more than 2 lbs per week because IT IS NOT HEALTHY. When losing at such a quick pace the % of lean tissue lost to fat lost increases and a person is more likely to look flabby even at a lower overall mass.
I never said she wouldn't look great this time. I have NO IDEA what she looks like... as far as I know she looks like a flower (see her picture? It's of a flower!) I only suggested that losing weight the healthy way will result in looking better in the long run than losing all your muscle while starving your body on some unhealthy fad diet.0 -
Oh My Gosh! What is with the hostility!! I wouldn;t recomment trying to lose 7 lbs in 8 days because it seems a little drastic to me. But by all means .... you can try! I dont think I would feel very good after those 8 days though.... maybe a bit sore for busting *kitten*! But good luck and have fun at the beach!!!!0

OK - I asked for it, I guess! Wasn't expecting to lose 7lb in 8 days - only put the number there as that that is the amount of weight I need to lose to get to goal. I was just looking for ideas on the best way to behave in these next 8 days. Don't worry, I won't go mad. For those who are curious, I'm 5ft 3 and about 126lb. Flower is there because I'm a bit shy of the camera!:embarassed:0

Liek others said reduce salt, try lowering your carbs and eat light do some different exercises this week to switch it up and maybe you will lose 2 lbs. but look like you lost 5. Also the proper bathing suit cut and wearing a wrap or a cover can do wonders. But just remember the beach is a fun place so enjoy it.0
