Exercise I loved in High School

Greetings it's a beautiful day in Orange County (OC) CA! I was reflecting on the two exercised I have brought back into my life, running and zumba. I have to say I have always loved the feeling I get when I run and hit the "Zone" when my breathing is easy and I am just flying down the trail or road. I recall an experience I had in running a 800 meter run. I did not have the training I needed to compete and I did what any inexperienced rookie would do, go all out and die in the end, a feeling of total defeat, which led me to quit. Not good, so as I became an adult runner, I was able to educate myself and had plenty of help with other runners in the field. I am so thankful that at this time in my life I am really enjoying the sport of running and looking forward to my next 1/2 marathon in October 2011.
Zumba, wow what a blast! I love to dance! This class has brought back wonderful memories when I was in drill team, we had a dance team that would perform routines at the football/basketball games and parades. We danced to music and regular songs that the school band played. It was a good time. Last night I was at class and learning the new moves that I are required for the songs that we dance to, it is amazing how I picked up the steps and if I didn't get it, then I just marched in step until I was able to join in. 60 minutes of aerobics and what fun. So if you are having trouble finding the right exercise for yourself to get you going, think back at what you enjoyed as a child and I bet it may the sport you could do now!
