HRM....Is it worth it?

I try and go on daily bike rides for at least 30-minutes at a time. I use the IMapMyRide.com app for my iPhone to track my rides and see how far I am going and average speed. Will I notice a big difference in my true calories burned if I use an HRM or should I just stick with what MFP and the app give me?

Oh definitely go with a HRM. It is waaaay more accurate!0

A good HRM is well worth the money because it takes all of your info into consideration - you just have to be sure and get one that has a chest strap so that your heart rate reading is accurate.0

I'd say it depends on how strict you are with your calories in and out. If you really want to be strict, I'd suggest you buy an HRM because it will be way more accurate than the amounts on MFP.0
