Getting Back to Basics

We live in a fast-paced World. Parents are coming and going, taking kids from one place to the next for their sports and other extra curricular activities...it's insane! And when you're doing all that running around, the "fast-food" becomes a convenient option.
People need to get back to the basics....stay home more...cook healthy meals together. Sometimes the simple things make the most sense.
Of course some of this is also fuelled by financial stress...there are a lot of emotional eaters out there. Our society is more stressed than ever!
I laugh at the "quick fix" fad diets out there. People are wasting too much money. Realistically are they going to do that "diet" for life? It's doubtful! More often than not, they end up weighing more than they did when they started. You can't drop 50 lbs then stop the plan, going back to your old habits. It doesn't work!
We all have the tools and we all know the way, we just need the support and the willpower to do it. It's time to "SNAP OUT OF IT", again...get back to basics, and the rest will take care of itself.
The most important thing is to be patient. It didn't come on all at once, overnight....but my, how time passes quickly when you notice you're gaining. It can pass just as quickly if you make a plan, set your goal, break that goal down and focus on one week at a time.
Together we can accomplish anything
