MONDAY: SUCCESS STORIES
Do the Work!
I love when I see people really doing the work that will help them reach their goals. Most people have no real concept of how strong they are or what their potential really is. Workouts are supposed to be work, and my workouts are tough because I know you're strong enough to do them! I set out to kick your butt knowing that you'll only get stronger, and the stronger you get physically, the stronger you will become in every other way.
Here's what one teammate said to another to enourage him to keep up my program's hard work:
"I can only tell you to stick with it. I am at the same frustration level. It is upsetting to be so overweight that the results don't show right away. I am working sooooo hard and I haven't gotten to the point that anyone but ME can tell. Then I remind myself of why I am doing this - FOR ME.
I do feel stronger and happier with myself because I am working out five days a week and I am proud of myself for sticking with it. Your energy level will definitely improve. I have a trainer and she tells us to just KEEP MOVING. The workout Jillian gives is very challenging - don't stop, keep moving. Even when your heart feels like it will explode - mine does especially with those D#$%@*! squat thrusts, plyo push ups... I could go on and on there are lots of moves I hate, but I do them as much as I can. Which by the way I can't do more than 5 regular push-ups regular, I did 40 half-way push-ups tonight. I will get there eventually and so will you." -ak145

JILLIAN'S TIP OF THE DAY
All or Nothing
If you haven't already, it's definitely time to kill the all-or-nothing attitude. One great way to do that is to get real regarding setbacks. We are all bound to have lapses on the road to health and wellness, but it is critical that we learn how to handle small failures positively so that we can minimize their long-term destructive effects. One setback is one setback - it's not the end of the world, nor is it the end of your journey toward a better you!
