The way to tell if you are gaining muscle is to first have your bodyfat% taken every week, once a week, on the SAME day, BEFORE you start your training. And if you are eating a calorie surplus of about 20-25% over your maintenance every day.
Weigh yourself once a week on the same day in the morning on an empty stomach. If you are gaining .5 to 1b every 2 to 4 weeks and your bodyfat % is either staying the same or dropping a little then you are gaining muscle. Your LBM increases.
You are doing VERY well if you gain 4-5 lbs of muscle a month. Hard to do naturally.
This is the true way of finding out.0
