Gym

Good Morning,
Is it just me or does anyone else dread going to the gym? I mean, I don't mind going BUT, I have no idea on what to do, when to do, how much to do .... nothing.
Yes I've met with trainers who tell me "what" I should do and then I go and do it .... and feel like I've accomplished nothing. I'm a bit frustrated at this point.
Just a vent!
Have a great day!

I totally understand your frustration, I used to end up just doing the same thing every time and would get more frustrated because I wasn't seeing results after a while (now I know I have to keep changing what I do). I've worked with a trainer before and it was SO easy to just show up, and do whatever he told me to, so I didn't have to think about it!! But he turned out to be unreliable (cancelling appts same day, sometimes an hour before), so I'm back on my own.
Question...what makes you feel like you've accomplished nothing? Not challenging enough? Too boring? etc0 -

Not challenging enough, not seeing results, doing the same thing over and over. I generally like to be sore the next day..lol ... if that makes sense. That gives me a since of accomplishement0 -
Gotcha....well, my suggestions (if that's what you want! lol) would be add more weight or reps or sets (depends on what you're after)....if it's cardio, do more sprints/interval training. Keep pushing yourself. Throw in a set of mountain climbers, burpees, etc between weight lifting sets. I don't know if it is possible, but can you do a class at the gym (or elsewhere)? Or...join a sports team! lol
Just trying to help you come up with other ideas! :flowerforyou:0
