So I've lost 30 pounds since January. I did it by swimming at first like 5-6 times a week and then moving on to the eliptical at least 4-5 times a week. for the first 15lbs or so I didn't really track the foods I ate, but the past 60 days I've been using MyFitnessPal.com I'm trying to keep @ 1200 NET calories a day and I've lost almost another 15lbs in the past 2 months. I've also tried to eliminate choice during the day, and then excercising. then I can pretty much eat most things for dinner.

Breakfast is usually just an apple...which I've recently switched to oatmeal
Lunch is this place in NYC called the PUMP....where it's basically always turkey, vegatables over brown rice....for like 500 Cal. then dinner. I make it a point to always be above 1200 cal.

Okay....so that's that.

I've noticed the weight loss on my body as I've definitely gotten smaller, but I still have a small gut that I'd love to get rid of.....I'm not sure how to go about it. More weightloss? Do I have to start lifting? Sit ups?

I think I'm almost done losing as I don't want to lose that much more weight, but I want to know how to get rid of this fat.

Try HIIT. High Intensity Interval Training. Go all out for 30 seconds during whichever acticy you are doing, then recover for 90 seconds. As for the gut, eating clean will get rid off that along with HIIT. You have to burn that fat off before it will go away and show some abs.

You need to strength train for toning and do lots of abdominal exercises (crunches, reverse crunches, etc....) it will tone up eventually. I would continue with your cardio, but add in the weights also.

add weight training... low weight lots of reps for toning.... high weight less reps for bulk.

Thanks. I think i'm going to try lifting (need to be trained on how) and also HIIT on the eliptical on those days where I lift.
