Cardio! I've been asking the same thing myself and this is the answer I always find. Just doing crunches alone won't get your belly fat gone. Cardio and interval training is the way to go.....at least I hope so bc that's what I'm doing!0

You can not tell your body where to lose the fat, spot reducing does not work. What you can do is eat a clean healthy diet, continue to lose weight and do core workouts so that when the fat does come off the belly is flat underneath. Bellys tend to be the last place we lose weight so it's the hard part at the end of weight loss.0

Hate to say it but you can't spot reduce.0

I think it's pretty much accepted that you can't "spot reduce". To reduce belly fat you have to reduce fat, so diet and exercise. That said, there seems to be evidence that stress encourages belly fat to hang around so if you can destress and get enough sleep, that won't hurt. It's my trouble spot as well!0

running/jogging
this is a massive problem area for me and just doing 10 mins of hard running/jogging has started to slim it down a bit. my sis did a 5k and thanked that for her flat abs!0 -

The only way to spot reduce is LIPOSUCTION. Just keep up the cardio work.0

The book You on a Diet really explains the how and why of belly fat in detail. Although, you can't choose were to burn fat in exercise, there are several principals of eating and lifestyle that can help. Belly fat is the fat used first when the body needs extra calories and it is the first storage spot when you eat more than you are burning. SO the big thing about not adding to the fat is to avoid binge-type eating. The book is not some fad diet, and it can help you make healthy choices that can help reduce that belly fat.0

Like everyone said you can't spot reduce but good nutrition along with HIIT cardio will melt that fat away.0

You know the "you can't spot reduce" isn't really a true statement. If you use one of those vibrating platform things (don't know what they are called but I'm sure you can Google it) regularly it can redistribute your belly fat. You will not have less fat on your body, but it actually causes the fat to redistribute to other places on your body and can reduce your risk of heart disease. I read an article about it a while ago in a medical journal. I don't have time now but I'll see if I can find it online later (if I remember).0
