Weight gain and menstrual cycle??

I was on the depo shot and had cycles every 2 weeks. I hated it so much. And I started putting on weight (about 10 pounds). After 9 months, cause the doc said I should stop periods completely after 6 which I didn't, I quit taking the shot and went back to pills. I recently (February 2011) had an IUD put in. Been good every since. My periods aren't awful. But I do feel bloated. I tell my husband to squeeze me a lot during my menstrual cycles cause I feel like I need to be squeezed.
