Cottage cheese (cellulite) in legs!

It seems that as my journey of weight loss goes on, the more cottage cheese my upper legs are revealing. It's hard for me to look at them in the mirror now.

Is this what my legs are gonna look like? Or does it get better and smooth out with the more weight I lose?

Also, if you know of any tips or exercises that help, please share.

Thanks to everyone! :D

* I should include that I do both cardio and strength. Although, I am still unsure about strength for legs. So advice on that would be much appreciated. Squats, etc.?

are you strength training or just cardio? If its just cardio your skin has become a little loose, it will tighten (eventually) but strength training helps

it'll smooth out after you lose more. try toning too...i had it bad in the front of my thighs, as im losing weight, its slowly starting to go away, but its only been the last 8 or so pounds ive lost that ive noticed it. try doing some toning too...i do LOTS of lunges squats and what nots for that area.

This exercise is good for legs and lower abs, I've been doing it for about 2 months and I think it helped me :-)

I'm having this problem, too. Annoying, isn't it? If it's any consolation, I remember my arms doing the same thing back when I first did my big loss a few years ago, and they're absolutely fine now, so I figure it'll just take some time for everything to settle into place.

Im pretty sure some strength training will help. Maybe even try to do some cardio intense (mix of cardio and strength). anything you can do to confuse the muscle and body cant hurt, right? Keep on pushing! :flowerforyou:

I've noticed since I stopped drinking alcohol, it pretty much went away (I had some on my back legs and butt since I was 16). It took 3 months though. Work out did not help it at all, and I've been taching aerobics for a very long time, and I lift, too...

I never drink. So I can't quit doing that. :)

Just keep working on your legs. I found until i got to about 135lb did it almost go away.
