Force myself to eat?

In theory I am supposed to consume around 2000 calories a day (3000 or more with exercise). Most the time I don't even come close.. I am not going hungry as a matter a fact I feel very content and satisfied.. Is it wise to insist your body consumes the extra calories even if you feel fine?
I would appreciate advice and perhaps evidence if possible. Thanks

If you don't feel you need to eat it, don't eat it. As long as you are not starving yourself (which you clearly are not at 2000 calories) you'll be fine.0

Spread out your meals more to cut down your portion sizes and eat more calorie dense food (high in healthy fats like avocado, olive oil, nuts, etc.)0
-
Add in a protein shake, which are easliy 300-500 calories.0

Based on your weight loss, it seems like you are doing a great job. If you are eating 2000 calories a day, I would think that you are not starving your body.0

They say if you don't get all those calories in your metabolism slows down & doesn't burn as quickly so in essence you should try but I have the same problem so I figure as long as I'm losing I'm not going to force the issue:-) I figure if things slow down or I don't feel like I'm losing what I should then I'll need to try to get those calories in... maybe making higher calorie (but healthy calorie) choices. That's my plan, so I guess if you want to try then do that & try to work in some higher calorie options or something here & there. Great job on what you've lost to date by the way!!0

I am having a hard time getting past 1100 calories per day and have decided that I am fine with that during my weight loss phase.0

I have read differen't things about this where some have actually said that your body isn't always right per se and you may be hungry and not know it. Well I go by how I feel and if I feel fine then I'm not going to stuff my face with more food. I have had a hard time meeting the daily calorie goal but I have tried to get more in throughout the day with things like nuts and low fat string cheese or yogurt.0

The reason I ask is I seem to have stalled on my weight loss so I am looking for some possible tweaks. I work out pretty hard burning between 1500-2000 calories during a workout. So MFP pal at then end of the day will say something absurd like I have 2700 calories left.
At the same time I am frustrated beyond belief at this stall in my progress..0 -

Congrats on the weightloss! Do you do protein shakes? You may need to sneak in smaller meals during the day to eat up some of those calories.0 -
Based on your diary, I'd definitely say that while forcing yourself to eat more calories isn't necessarily the way to go it does not seem like you're eating enough protein or fat.0
