Well here I am again, I had lost 8lbs and have gained it all back...It is crazy..Why can't I stay on my diet...I have no motivation...I will report in on a daily basis. I know that I can do this for 2 weeks. You can do anything for 2 weeks. I can and I will lose weight but I do need support from the community

The hardest part for me is the motivation to keep going when my weight fluctuates. Unfortunately, that happens more often than not for us women! You can and you will do this. Take it one meal at a time, one walk at a time, one day at a time! I'll be thinking of you!

    At least you came back!!
Try to just live for today, everyday and your journey will seem a little less hard!

I've lost 8 lbs three times in the last year. But I'm sticking with it this time! I'd be happy to help you stay motivated. Add me as a friend if you want. :)
  • you rang?

    Hee hee...made me laugh.

As for motivation...I agree with a prior post. Take it one day at a time. I failed many times after a few weeks, but at some point, things finally came together and change soon followed. Just pick yourself up and start over each time you feel you have failed. Good luck!!!

    Don't be angry ...

You CAN do this and you WILL do it!!
Take each day at a time, log on daily and record your food & exercise - it will soon become 2nd nature!!
Also, surround yourself with some friends to keep you motivated !!

    Good luck :flowerforyou:

A dear friend of mine is also 300+ lbs, or was when we talked on this topic so many times. We both knew we wanted to lose weight, and that we were miserable, and ate too much. And didn't understand why we never did anything about it, or couldn't stick to a diet. Somehow, something just clicked in my head several months ago, it "just happened". Really, I can't explain it, so we'll say its just like falling in love unplanned. I finally started moving in the right direction without really much thought into it. My friend on the other hand isn't do anything about it yet. It hasn't clicked for her yet. I've tried getting her on MFP, but she's not ready, still making excuses like I did, and is now being monitored for an enlarged heart and has been hospitalilzed. But one day, it will click for her like it did for me. Like it will for you. Just don't give up trying. It was me logging one week of normal habits on this site that made me see what I was doing to myself, and helped push me along, but it's the ultimate mindset that is working. Perhaps that's what you need to do? Record everything as though you are not trying to behave. See what your lifestyle is digitally? Good Luck! Friend me if you want some encouraging along the way, I'm more than happy to help!

Wow, I think you just helped me!!! I'm struggling since coming back from vacation. I haven't left the house in 4 days, am eating too much, feeling quilty but not enough to stop myself, no gym, no other exercise..... you just helped me think it might be because I wasn't logging last week... and keeping in touch with all the great people on MFP. I have been logging since I got back, the ugly truth of what it really is.... and hoped that would shame myself into action. Well I feel a little better with just some understanding and I think I can pull out of this funk I am in. THANK YOU!
