What to do when you're sick

So, I just started recently and of course 3 weeks in I get a terrible chest cold and my asthma starts acting up. I was always told growing up to starve a fever and feed a cold. So, is it a good idea to continue tracking calories and trying to lose weight when you are ill? Any ideas?

When I got sick a few weeks ago, I totally forgot about MFP for a few days and did whatever felt right.
Pay attention to your body, rest up, and get back to it when you are feeling better.
Didn't seem to do any damage.0 -

Your body needs more calories to fight infection, so counting calories would not be a good idea when you are sick. You will stay sick longer, and protien is what you need the most right now, so chicken noodle soup really is a good idea both for your illness and to make you feel better!0
