Thought I would introduce myself and get some input.
I am a mother of a 2 year old who has tried EVERYTHING in the past 2 years to lose weight (weight watchers, HCG, etc.). I realize I am an emotional eater and my life is super stressful (isn't everyones'?). I have been working 2 jobs plus school on and off for the past few years. I just got an amazing stable job and have quit the other job. I start up at school on Sept 26th and until then I can focus completely on getting fit, my baby girl and just working the one job.
My experience with Weight Watchers is that it wasn't restricting enough, and I hated that I could only lose 1-2 lbs a week, and if I did more they would yell at me and tell me to eat my activity points. I got discouraged and quit.
I then tried HCG for one 21 day cycle, and lost 15 lbs, but gained it all back because I got so bored of the food I could only eat and my husband is a junk food junkie. So I went from 179 to 164 and then back up to 186 since March. Bleh.
So on July 5th I started the 17 Day Diet. I know I am super sensitive to carbs AND love them so very much. Pasta is my downfall. I have been doing great though on the 17 day diet (the 1st 17 days are pretty much carb free) I am on day 16 and other than my daughter sharing her cheddar bunny crackers with me the other day (I only had a few, and its so hard to say no to that face) I have been good.
My other lifestyle change has been to start up with a personal trainer. One of the guys in my bible study is a professional fitness trainer and I have so far worked out with him 3 times. Each time he has kicked my butt! I love it though. I figure he can motivate me and teach me the best exercises for the results I want. He is super encouraging.
So my goal is to be at 135 lbs by Halloween (my birthday is November 10th, so basically by my birthday). I want to be Sookie Stackhouse for Halloween and need the sexy legs to carry it off.
I have been slightly discouraged lately because my weight keeps fluctuating back and forth between 182 and 180 over the last week. It will go up and then down and then back up and then down. I am thinking that maybe its muscle or whatever, but who knows. My pants fit better, anyway. I am just tired of not seeing the results I want. Lol.
So that’s me. I am really giving it an extra effort this time!
