I had lost over 33lbs but I came to a standstill... so rather than get disalusioned I took a break.. while I did that I was pleased to see that I didnt return to my old eating habits and my weight remained consistant..
Anyhow time now to get into it an try to lose that other 13lb ... and my friend djmick has joined the group and i want to be here to support him on his journey also....

Welcome back!!! I seem to take "a break" every weekend it would appear. Just gaining and losing the same 3 lb. But still eating healthy, until those dreaded weekends. Congrats on the 33 lb. You are an inspiration. I like the idea of taking a mental break but continuing the good habits and then coming back to it. Even your body/mind need a vacation from the stress of calorie counting occasionally. Awesome that you're supporting your friend. We definitely couldn't do it without each other.0

i really needed to do that to be honest or I might have relapsed... but because it was a decision rather than a relapse so there was no loss of self-control and i was sensible & this has really taught me something valuable about my old behaviour & life in general..
there i a real danger of becoming obsessive whenever u focus on something so closely and for so long, and so then when u have a patch where u cant lose weight its so easy to nose dive isnt it ? ... taking a decision is so much more empowering than fighting to control yourself in any situation..0 -

I used to be like that
If i knew i was having a night out i would imput and make a decison for my alcohol intake that night and the burger or pizza i just knew I would that i would have on the way home when i did my food diary in the morning ... then i would cringe at the calories i had left for the day and get out and mow the lawn or go on a cleaning mission to burn the extra calories..
maybe thats naughty but hell will freeze over before i will relinquish having fun and gettin a life & it worked for me, so that was fine and i was not left feeling deprived .
dont give up & hang in there
