Pain behind knee

Hi...Anyone else out there ever get aching/throbbing in the back of the knee? I started get this last year and every time I start to get back to serious workouts and it seems to start up again. The doctor said didn't appear to be any ligament issues and that it could be a baker's cyst but she couldn't feel any cyst. I've tried to stay away from anything that was high impact on the knee like jumping type things and running but now it seems that squats and such are bothering it. When it starts hurting sometimes even my calf and foot feel like tingling and like they are cold. I've also noticed that wearing flip flops also seems to bring on the throbbing. Just thought I'd see if anyone else had experienced similar and what might help it.
