When I reach goal, will my daily calorie allowance increase to around the 2000 mark (I'm 5.9)? I'm currently on 1430 cals a day to lose weight. I take it increases when you want to maintain?
I feel that I'm eating very well at 1430 to be honest!

To get an idea how many calories you can eat when you maintain, change your settings to maintenance (then change them back!). Bear in mind it will be slightly less when you reach your goal weight as you'll be lighter.

not sure what it will do to your stats but you can go into your settings and put your weight at goal weight and then set your calories to maintenance and it will tell you what your calories will be. Then change it back, obviously. But I dont know if it will mess up your running totals.

I read over and over agian about how people don't think they can eat more than their allotment when it's time to increase to maintenance. Increasing your cals does not mean eating more food. You just need to eat more calorie dense foods. Instead of that egg white eat the whole darn egg! Lol!

your allowance will decrease as you lose weight .... mine started at 1380 but after 46lbs i'm down to 1200 a day now ...... I expect mine will increase to about 1700 / 1800 a day when maintaining

I am living proof that you will not be losing 1-2 pounds a week through your whole weight loss journey. Most of us when we get within 10-15 pounds of goal slow to a crawl, hence all the posts you'll see about "the dreaded last 10 pounds" or the "stubborn last 10 pounds." At this time you will likely drop your weight goal on MFP to losing 0.5 pounds/week. This puts you at 250 calories a day below maintenance, which allows you to get used to eating more before you transition to maintenance. I went from 1200 to 1400 and am now at 1700 calories, losing 0.5 pounds/week with 9 pounds left to go. It is a weird (and scary) transition but you do get used to it.

yeah I changed the settings so I could see and I now have 50 cals less a day to eat since I have lost 12 pounds. That's good enough for me as I eat less anyway..

We are the same height, not sure what your goal weight is. I put mine at 175(which will change as its been changed multifply times now) and I changed over to maint. and it gave me 19xx cals a day. Of course b/c Im not done, I change it to 1 pound a week and I have 14xx cals a day.

yeah I've put my goal weight to be around the 161 area.. so currently have 1380 cals a day for a 2lb loss per week but would be around 1900 when maintaining at 161..sounds fine to me!:)
