Im so disappointing with myself, why am I making this so much harder then it really is?? I HATE the way I look and feel but I just cant seem to stay committed to doing what I need to do! I don't know what button in my head I have to flip to do what I already know I have to do!

One day at a time girl. Try not to think about yesterday or 2 months from now, just try to focus on today. I have to remind myself of this all the time or I will get overwhelmed and give up.

What parts are you having a hard time with?

    Nutrition?

    Working out?

For nutrition for me I have to keep making new things and trying new things. I didn't used to like "healthy" food. I was all about fast food. However, that is what got me FAT. So it has to go.

Working out, that is a hard one for me still. However, I am kind of an attention *kitten*, so the more I lose the more attention I get.Great cycle to be in.

    GL!!!

This is so true! I focus on one choice at a time and try to take the healthier option. You also need to start changing your internal voice. When you make a good choice or get a good workout in, congratulate yourself, even if just in your head!! You can do this, my friend, but you have to support yourself to do so. Good luck to you!:drinker:

Well said! I get so overwhelmed when I think about what I'm going to eat later this week, this weekend, etc. Try taking it a day at a time, a meal at a time. Log everything, get in a workout so you can eat more! I love that :)

Also, maybe open up your food diary so you have to be accountable.

I felt the same way when I first tried to lose weight. I made a whole bunch of rules for myself with what not to do, I gave up within the week. It's one decision at a time hun. Don't worry about dinner while having breakfast. Or tomorrow while it is still today. You will get there. Start just by staying within your calories, even if fast food is there, or try to do 20 minutes of a workout instead of starting with an hour. It's little decisions here and there that will get you going.

Take one day at a time, but understand the long term goal. My scale has not moved in 5 weeks, but I know it will. I know when i make a poor food choice and when I miss an opportunity to exercise. But overall, I am healthier than I was and I am on the right track to be even healthier. Hang in there!!!
  • Definitely one day at a time. We all have our days. Hang in there :)

I put in all of my food before the day starts. This way if I even think about eating something else I feel like I am letting myself down. , If you do this you never have to think about what you are going to eat, you will already know.

Look at the small goals, like losing a pound a week. Or maybe it could be walking a little farther than you did last time.

Also, maybe set a long term goal that has to do with fitness, not weight? I just started couch to 5k. I take it one day at a time and I am concentrating on being able to run a 5k, not necessarily the weight that I will lose along the weigh.

Also, lots of friends help, feel free to add me :flowerforyou:
