Best kinds of tea??

Hey everyone!
I recently gave up drinking diet coke. I have replaced it with a lemon mix in called "true lemon" that tastes pretty good and is sweetened with stevia. But, I am looking for more variety in my drink options! The problem is, I really am not a fan of tea. At least, not the ones I have tried. There are a few problems with that: It limits my choices, tea is really healthy but I don't drink it, and I am singer. Tea is great for a singer's throat! I just can't seem to find one that I don't have to gag down.
What are your favorites? Do you have any other suggestions for drinks that don't have artificial sweeteners in them?
Any advice is much appreciated! :flowerforyou:

I like twinings lemon and ginger tea and green tea and mimosa tea at night . Oh to add I think the lemon and ginger tea tastes really nice, green tea is okay (put a bit of honey if you don't like it not sweet) but mimosa tea is a bit of an acquired taste lol, so don't go right in there with the mimosa and think what on earth is this girl talking about lol!0

I love those sugar free, peach tea packet that you put in your bottle of water. Walmart has the Great Vaule brand that is cost effective. Lots of flavors to choice from!0

Starbucks Green Tea is awesome and you can get it at most grocery stores.0

ginger tea, green tea, oolong tea...so many different kinds0

I buy Mio its a drink mix you add to water and it has no colories. I love it..though i have not tryed all the flavors the sweet tea is really good. I also like to buy crystal light and the generic brand of it they are both good...and have a few colories.0

I loooove any kind of green tea (Arizona Diet Green Tea with Ginseing is good hot or cold) and I recently found BLUEBERRY tea packets. They're amazing!!!0

I get green tea bags - mixed berry flavor. I can't remember if it's lipton or not. Anyway - I make my own big jug of tea and then use stevia packets when I drink it. Fill up my big water bottle - put 2 stevia packets in it and I'm good to go for the morning! It's alot cheaper then buying the bottled stuff and I think all the bottled stuff uses artifical sweetners.0

Try Bengal Spice tea... it tastes really sweet from the cinnamon but has not sugar or sweeteners in it. With just a splash of milk it's like having a chai tea latte for 10 calories.0

Have you tried putting lemon or honey in the tea? Or even the green tea with honey? Also Crystal Light is a great alternative for drinks in general, I drink them and my kids drink them. I won't be drinking that much tea anymore cause of how much sugar I would put in mine to tolerate it, though there is one where I used very little sugar, it's celestial seasonings, bengal tea. That stuff is really good and like I said had to put barely any sugar in, if you like cinnamon this is the kind for you.0

I find iced tea to be better with sweetner (sweet n low) I like Luzianne. I did buy a new box of tea called mango tea from Trader Joe's. I haven't tried it yet but am planning on trying it tonight. I'll let you know the outcome.0

I drink earl grey and I also force myself to drink green tea in the morning although to be honest I am not a massive fan.0

I love Redbush, just with hotwater (no milk & no sugar!)
Lovely!0 -
I have never been a tea drinker, either, but I LOVE Lipton Yellow Label Tea. It's usually only available overseas, but I found it on Amazon and bought a case for my husband and me. I add some 2% milk and a couple packets of Splenda, and it is to die for! Hope this helps0

I am a HUGE fan of pretty much ANY tea. I have over the last several months weaned myself off of sweet tea and have converted to unsweetened teas (iced tea only, and that's mainly what I drink). I had the best luck using the fruit flavored herb teas. Some of the teas out there now have so much variety in flavors. I really love the fruit teas and the cinnamons ohh and the gingers!! LOL Just keep experimenting you'll find one I'm sure!0

I like black tea (English or Irish breakfast tea, Earl Grey, etc.), but if you are not a fan of tea you might not like black because it's pretty strong, which is why I love it. Have you tried Green or Oolong tea? Green is unfermented and has a distinctly different taste which is a littely nutty. Oolong, sometimes refered to as brown tea, is partially fermented and has a light flavor. Both are loaded with antioxidants as all true teas are. If you are looking for the health benefits of tea, make sure what you get is really tea as some "teas" actually contain nothing from a tea plant (e..g. chamomilee, ginseng, etc.). You might also try some flavored teas (chai, fruit flavored), again just make sure there real tea in there.0

Ever heard of 'Teavanna'? It's a great shop with original blends and they'll go through samples just to find which one you prefer. A bit pricy for some blends, but they're all worth it. If not, try vanilla chai, white or a fruit garden mix. Adding sugar or honey won't hurt it.

Oh and have you tried white tea? White tea is the least processed tea and has the mildest flavor.0

Thanks for all your ideas! I need to try adding some of the stevia packets to some tea. Maybe I will like it better sweeter...0

i like green tea with lemon. apparently drinking 5 cups a day kicks your metabolism up a notch, don't know how true it is.
i actually enjoy it more than black tea which i have been drinking for 30 years with sugar, now i dont put sugar in it i prefer the green tea with lemon, and its nice cold also0 -
Raspberry zinger, lemon zinger, any of the celestial seasonings fruit teas. They basically taste like juice. Ginger Peach tea with Matcha is good. White Chai, Rooibos, Peppermint.
I just love tea0 -
I like Numi brand "Dry Desert Lime" tea... it's a really unusual flavor, but so good! Personally, I don't sweeten my herbal teas, but you could try stevia if you want.0
-
I like Bigelow green tea with mango, peach or mint. I also have a loose hot cinnamon tea that is so sweet from the cinnamon you dont need to add anything!0
