my fiance is making me keep my gym membership, he knows it's the only thing I like doing, but I thought I'd get rid of it to save some money...so now that I get to stay, I need some serious work out routines people...show me what you got...and remember I'm a weiner so don't kill me!

Right now I do pully weights 2 days a week (don't get me started on free weights, unless I find a partner to help me out, it's not going to happen
- 3 arms
- 3 legs

and

Calisthenics 2 days a week, 3 sets of 10

- squats
- lunges
- crunches
- girlie push ups

no one likes this post, it's not about boobs or farts...so I'm just going to do my own research...i'm bored of my work out, and I need to get down and dirty now...I'm not losing anything, just inches in my *kitten*...which isn't a bad thing, but it's been almost a year.

What do you like to do for fun? I started playing baseball once a week it burns about 500 calories, i started swimming 1 or twice a week i am going to aim for 3 to 4 times soon it is 700 calories for 2 hours of fun, Zumba on the Wii is about 170 calories burned for 20 minutes and just dance is a fun game to burn calories too. I use my bowflex for weight training every other day. If you pick up some workout dvds those are a nice change of pace. Ripped in 30 and 30 day shred you use weights so it is great.

you know where the leg press machine is? there's two racks of barbells that range from 20lbs to 110lbs
you can do a full body workout with those and not have to venture too far into the free weight section

    overhead press - shoulders
    barbell row - back
    deadlift - back/legs/full body
    bench press - chest
    bicep curls - biceps
bench dips - triceps (no weight needed)

then you could grab some dumbbells or kettlebells and do some lunges or squats for some extra leg work.

you could do this as a circuit (2 or 3 times) or do 3 or so sets of each exercise before moving on to the next one.

the best workout routine is one that you like and will stick with though so if this doesn't sound like fun let me know and i'll come up with something else

Does your gym do any classes? I go to bootcamp twice a week & interval challenge class one & then run & do weights on the off days. I belong to the ymca & they have a fitlinx program where you log your strength exercises.

This list is money (just dont forget your squats and lunges), and maybe do a every other day workout and alternate upper and lower body. I would recommend learning to use the barbell for squats and lunges as it is a better core workout then crunches (there are regular squats and front squats, front are easier on the low back if you have back problems) Bodybuilding.com's exercise site has great videos on how to do all of these exercises.

Never worry about what anyone else thinks, I use gloves to reduce calluses and help grip. If it is all it takes to help your workout then I am all for it and I myself have never seen anyone in the gym use chalk (I know why and I am sure it works great, i use it when I climb) but its probably a bit of a hassle for just starting in the free weight section.

awesome, so the bodybuilding.com uses most of the exercises kelly recommended...and come on man we discussed my lack of bench pressing...it was pathetic, so I'm going to do dumbell bench presses instead...I'm getting pretty slick and squats so I'll probably have to grab some weights eh? lunges are a b!tch but they'll happen...thanx guys...i'll keep you posted on how this 7 day routine works...the only thing that sucks is saturday is my rest day, and I do that rowing challenge...that's our triple day, so I might still do some cardio...maybe rip through the ravines or the river valley
