I'm sure quite a few of you have explored websites like Self.com and found all the magic tools and whatnot, but I thought I'd share this one.. it's pretty neat.

http://www.self.com/calculatorsprograms/calculators/happyweight

You put your height, frame size, age, etc. into this calculator and it tells you the weight where you would feel happiest taking all of the information into account. It might be a bunch of hooey, but it's just another thing to think about, and it's kinda fun!

My goal weight for myself has been 145 since I started MFP, and my "Happy Weight" ironically came out as 145.1. I guess I had the right idea. :P

I just checked that out and it was fun! It said my "happy weight" would be 125.2 and I have my goal set to 125. :)

Not quite. Would I be happy at 153.5? Possibly. Would I be happy with all the work I'd have to put in maintaining said weight? Not at all.

My happy weight is a lot higher than my goal weight, so I will be interested to see if I'm happy when I get there. Thanks for the fun tool.

My "happy" weight was 133, my goal by Christmas is 130. However, I'd like to take it down to 120 by next summer. We'll see :)

148.6 ... My goal weight is closer to 140 or 135

Of course if I'm happy at 148.6 then I'll stop losing and maintain :)

116.4? Umm... yeah... don't think I'll be getting down that far, but we'll see how I feel when I hit my current goal.

Interesting. My happy weight was calculated to be 129.3. I don't agree with that. I'm at 139.5 now and I'm almost at my happy weight. I'm 13 lbs down and thinking of stopping when I get to 15 lbs lost. Everyone is already telling me I'm back to my perfect weight. Fitting in to my old clothes already, so I'm very happy!

This is really interesting! Mine's about 5lb higher than I thought. I guess we'll see if I'm happy when I get there!

It said my happy weight would be 157.8 and my goal is 175. So maybe I'm aiming too high?

Nope, not for me. It said 150.2 and I'm at 138ish right now (stupid vacation weight). I was definitely NOT happy at 150!

That was pretty cool. I know my happy weight range is 120-125, and it said 127. Not bad.

It said my happy weight was 130 which is basically where I am now (131). This is not a happy weight for me, my goal is 120.

I don't like it! It has my happy weight at 132.5, which is lower than my original goal of 135, which I have raised because I think that 135 is too small for me.

    Hmmph.

    I will stick to 140.

It told me 139.0 which is 1lb under what I was thinking of aiming for. A bit spooky but just a good guess, I guess?

122.4 here! Which, yes - would be a happy weight for me. I'm content at about 130, and ecstatic at 115.

Does the calculator not work for anyone else? I tried it a while ago and again just now, and it's not giving me an answer...it just redirects to the page where I put all my answers in. :/
