Hey Everyone, I have a question about the Daily Summary at the top. It's confusing to me.

1516 Calories Remaining

Goal Food Exercise Net
2000 1304 -820 484

What does this mean and how am I supposed to read that? I'm new and appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide.

Thanks!

Brandy

your daily goal is 2000 calories

    you ate 1304 calories

you worked out and burned 820 calories

(subtract what you burned from what you ate

    NET calories = 484

    you have 1516 calories remaining

It means you should be eating 2000 total calories in a day
    You ate 1304 Calories
But since you exercised you may eat an extra 820
    You have 484 netted calories
Therefore you have 1516 calories you can still eat today and be under your goal
  • Goal - Number of NET calories myfitnesspal thinks you should eat in a day
Food - Number of calories eaten
Exercise - Number of calories burned through exercise (that's why it has a negative sign next to it)
Net - Number of calories eaten minus number of calories burned. This should be equal or less than your goal

Hope this helps, and welcome :)
