  • Good morning runners!

I'm running with my training group this evening, but I have not even checked to see what is scheduled for tonight. I will do my chest and tricep workout after my run.

Firegirlred-In answer to your question from yesterday...I am in north Austin, close to Steck and Mopac. I am going to run the Turkey Trot 5 miler on Thanksgiving morning. Want to join the holiday fun?

    Hope everyone has great workouts!!

prob 5k for me today, still recovering from my 13 miles 2 days ago, and I think i'm getting sick again.

I'm in cedar park, and ratty is in round rock.

JD-I do want to run that race, but I definitely won't be competing, just running for a good time. I think running ratty may join us. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE?

I'll post again after I run

Hi guys! I'm super excited/nervous because I'm going to the gym for the first time in 9 weeks since my little baby was born. He got his shots yesterday and can officially go to the drop off daycare. My plan is to do the 12:30 spin class, but it's only 45 min, so I'll run a bit on the treadmill and lift some, too. I can't wait!!!

katiechakos, good luck with your first return workout. You will do fine.

No running for me today. We did a killer work out at bootcamp and I will do a water aerobics class tonight at the Y. Gotta start doing a little less pounding on my knees.
  • I did 4.5 miles on the treadmill this am--the farthest I've gone in a while! I did 30 min of intervals--2 min run + 30 sec of weight lifting and I pushed myself to run at 6.5 mph. After I finished my intervals, I did a 10 min straight run at 6.2 mph. Felt good to get it in. I've lost a few pounds over the past few weeks and am hanging in at 160--want to see the 150's again!!

    Runnerdad-I wasn't sure which link.

    For the knee pain:
    http://orthopedics.about.com/cs/patelladisorders/a/chondromalacia.htm

For the pacing information (read down to the middle at least):
    http://www.selfgrowth.com/articles/sundquist.html

For the free podcasts (music) that sets a pace:

No run yet-toddler is busy mutating into a monster..... Maybe when she gets up.

Yay! No more t-storms! I just ran a bit over 4, it is very windy! Cleaned all morning, I know that counts for something, am going to try to shred later, but have more cleaning to do before my party Friday. egg, toast, grapes, coffee for breakfast, big salad, yogurt and fruit for lunch, veggie chili after run.

    Go runners go!

Hi guys! I'm so happy to report that I went to the gym today and ran 7 miles plus did some abs. My little baby boy did fantastic in the daycare. WOO HOO!

That is awesome about the daycare. I understand how you feel, and it's nice to get some time.

Don't know how far I ran, but probably between 3 and 3.5. GPS is giving me fits, so it is hard to tell for sure. Strong headwind and a stroller can make it tough.
  • Hi, I am new to MFP. Just started here last week after losing 60 pounds on Medifast. Loved running in the past and started again over the summer with the Couch to 5K program. Have a 10k next week and traveling to Maui in January for a 15k.

Ran 4 miles of hill repeats this afternoon. Drizzle and wind, but I still conquered that hill 3x.

Did 8 today and 6.75 yesterday...my stomach has been feeling a bit off, so I kind of struggled both days. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

Juanita: WELCOME!!! Congrats on your weight loss!
