Well does anyone know how to reduce lower body and keep your boobs a decent size?!

boob job or padded bras work wonders....impossible. you lose fat all over--can't stop the girls from getting smaller.

    true.

When you find that out let me know. I try soo hard to lose the fat on my thighs and all that happens is my boobs shrink so I look like a prepubesant boy....:-(

Guess I should start stuffing my bra....

I've been up and down the scale like most of us I imagine. My "shape" never changed much - I may have gone from tiny to bigger and back again, but the general placement of my parts doesn't change. I looked my best when running a lot of miles and maintaining my lightest weight. But I still had hips. Really why would we expect otherwise?

I say do what you enjoy and can stick with. It all helps firm and tone and get us to the smaller, healthier version of who we are meant to be. The choice of what you do just doesn't have as much effect as people may think. Love who you are!

Running has worked well for me in the past - I have large leg muscles but they definitely become more slender with running, not bigger. I am slowly getting back into running doing a C25K program (week 1 so far) but on off days I am training on the elliptical. I find that the elliptical has a lot of resistance at upper levels, and I have been wondering whether using the elliptical at the higher settings may lead to bulkier muscles as well? I like doing a mix of easy steady state, sprints, and climbing intervals using resistance, but wonder if this is the best program for leaning out. I know overall calories burned is important, but I wondered if anyone has any advice about how to best use the elliptical?

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I'm a pear and really upped my weightloss as soon as I started running.

My legs were pretty big and flabby at the beginning of the year, but when I really started amping up my running, I found it toned them more and made them less flabby. Then when I added weight lifting (squats & deadlifts) I found that the fat on my legs melted off so now I have toned legs and my jeans fit a lot better.

Running makes my legs thinner, though I am not a pear. Dancing gives you thunder thighs. All the dancers I have known have big thighs.

I am a pear, I sure hope running doesn't make my legs bigger.
