to have a 3 pound loss in one week , after having been 6 weeks in a " plateauish kinda state" ?
I did begin Turbo Fire 3 Weeks ago and changed my diet a bit . I guess I'm just a bit surprised.. but is it normal?

Sure! Sounds like a great way to blast thru a plateau
I have heard when you get to a plateau to make a change or three and you will get thru it

Yep! The most I've lost in one week was 2 lbs but usually once you change things up after you've been stuck, you'll lose a couple pounds to catch up.0

Totally normal! Our bodies need to be challenged to continue burning. You changed just enough to push through the plateau. Congrats!0 -
I think it's normal. It has happened to me twice already. Gradual, slow weight loss (not even a plateau, really) and then suddenly I drop 3 pounds in a week. Both times I was actually eating MORE right before dropping the extra weight. I don't know if that is related to it in any way.0

I'm walking on clouds by the loss
but honestly I just couldn't quiet embrace the loss ..total disbelief:noway:
I even checked out the scale to make sure it's working fine
I began eating more ,I switched to losing 1 pound a week .. Instead of 1 1/2 a week ( I was barely losing any weight.):grumble:
This weight loss thing is so mysterious at times
Thank you for your replies , I can embrace it now :blushing: .0 -
Sometimes our body just needs something different. I have been stuck at a plateau before and...being an emotional eater....I ate a bit of ice cream and thought I totally ruined my week and ended up losing more than I would ever dreamed. I have done that on several occasions, actually. Not that I condone eating ice cream while trying to lose...but, that worked for me. It is like my body needed some fat or something?0

Totally normal. It's something called the WHOOSH effect, where you see no results for a while, then suddenly, WHOOSH goes the fat!
Even the experts have no idea why this happens; some think its just the nature of plateaus, some think its the body emptying the fat cells before removing them permanently...
Either way, job well done!0 -

You may have had a whoosh. A whoosh is when someone holds on to extra water that masks fat loss and the something triggers the water to release in a short period of time. Sometimes going lower carb will do that, so will drinkning alcohol. Basically what is happening is your burning fat and the fat cells empty and fill with water where it is held until something releases it.0
