did you fill you your profile and set your goals? it should tell you how many calories to eat.

I eat 6 meals a day 1 of 300 calories, 1 with 100 calories and 4 with 200 calories. Now not each of those have exactly that many calories sometimes I will eat 240 at one meal and only 160 at an other or 400 on one and drop one of the 200 cal meals to 100, but you get the point. I try to get around 1200 calories a day on days I don't exercise more if I exercise.

You've done amazing! 79lb without really understanding calories is a huge accomplishment. I can barely lose 10lb and I understand calories... well somewhat. I always used to think that it was best to eat things with very few calories, like under 100. I realized lately that it fills me up more to eat a couple larger meals, between 250 to 400. I always used to keep eating because I was still hungry so i would think "well 100 calories isnt that much", but if i did that every half hour or so it added up to a lot! I have way more time now that im not eating and obsessing over what to eat every half hour. So dont be afraid of a healthy meal that has a lot of calories, just make sure those calories are worth it (i.e. protein and carbs, not trans or saturated fats). As for what your calorie total should be, i would rely on what MFP recommends.

Honey, you can do this. Read the packaging. Log the food you eat. If you set up your profile, the system will tell you how many calories you are supposed to be eating daily. The keys here are to READ THE PACKAGING, because we just never really have a clue how many calories are in everything and how warped our sense of portion is until we read that stuff, and LOG THE FOOD YOU EAT, and truthfully! You can do this. One meal at a time! Remember to make sure you eat a MINIMUM of 1200 calories daily, or your body will go into starvation mode and you'll gain weight by eating like a bird. It's all about moderation. :flowerforyou:

Thanks ladies..Even though I'm aloud like 1,200 calories..I still fill bad about how many caloires are in some things..Maybe I'm just parinoid..I just know I've lost alot without counting calories until I came here and started looking at the calories..But I have realized I'm not eating enough, I think thats one reason I have so many hunger pains lol..Thanks again..
