I took a VLA body composition test and my naturopath told me to gain some muscle. The test states that I need to eat 117 grams of protein but I can't even reach 100 grams (See my Saturday diary).
What's the minimum amount of protein I have to eat to gain muscle but not lose any ?
Also can you gain muscle without doing weight exercises ?

Are you a vegetarian?
If not, eat more meat and fish. That'll bring protein up in no time. Also, consider adding a protein powder as a supplement to your yogurt or milk.0 -
Yes, you do need to eat that much protein to build muscle. I find that the days I eat chicken breast I can get my protein in easily and stay under my calorie goal. I also use those low carb / high fiber wraps( the ones I get are either 50 or 80 calories) as those usually tend to have a higher amount of protein especially if you eat them with an egg or two. And I drink protein shakes of various types depending on my workout activity for the day. If you want, add me and you can look at my diary. It hasn't been super awesome lately but not too long ago I was doing really good at getting a lot of protein.0
