Gym £ vs Location

Can anyone help me make a decision...just maybe a little guidance or assistance...
The Gym i currently attend 3x weekly (Fit4Less) is located in Inverness, Scotland. Which is where i also work. I leave the office at 5ish and go the 5 minute car ride to my gym. This gym is £15.99 per month - no contract.
Sounds ok.
Well, i live in the next town, which is 16 miles away. and I dont drive...(no license yet, but waiting on test) so this means, that i stay at my mothers, (who lives in inverness) rather than bus/train/taxi the 16 miles home again....
Now...this works fine, but some nights, you just want your own bed. so the next thing is...
there is a new gym "Curves" £29.00 a month - with contract, opening in my home town...literally 10 minutes from my house....
do i change? at almost double the price? has anyone had experience of this gym and can you tell me some more about it? the website is helpful, but of course everything is promo promo painted in a rosy tint!
any users had experience?

If it is working I would stick with the current routine until you pass your test or mobility improves.
The gym will still be there in six months (if it isn't you made the right decision) and you'll get an idea of what it's like. You should also ask for a guest pass so you can try it out and get a feel for the place.
Most gym's are struggling at the moment so any offer they have is likely to carry on or at least be open to negotiaion. The main thing is to remain focused on your goal.0 -

Thanks! I think you are right - the new gym wont be finished till November anyway - so that 4 months to carry on as i am... who knows maybe ill be at target by then...Plus i am happy at my gym..i can just go on in and get on with it! x0 -
I had to change gyms and I paid triple for the better location and HOURS. Lucille Roberts $15 a month no contract, but it opened at 8:00AM and closed at 8:00PM. Well I try to go to the gym in morning at 6:00AM with my current job. I could of gone to the family owned Platinum Gym that is open 24 hours for $40 a month but is 30 minutes from my house, But I decided that NYCSC wins cause it is open early, closes late, and is literally between my apartment and the subway meaning I make it. So yes I pay the painful $60 per month with a contract. If you are making it to the gym as is stay cheaper. But...
As my fiance says "a cheap gym you don't use, is more expensive than an expensive gym you do"0
