so last night, i was getting a chip craving - which is usually alll the time.. i am a chip and salty snack crackhead.. anywho.. i was searching for a snack my MIL would like, so i went to the dehydrated fruit section, and i saw these dehydrated veggie chips.. i thought about it for a while, thinking.. it doesn't look that appetizing.. what if they're stale... what if they're just gross... anywho, so i thought well for $3.99 let me just give it a shot... and HOLY EFFF were they good!! i totally felt like i was eating chips with the crunch the size/ shape, ect.. they have squash (fave), taro, sweet potato, carrots, and peas. Yeah, Yeah, they aren't doritos, BUTTTT they are only 45 calories a freakin cup!! how awesome is that?? That is enough for me to stop eating bad chips over this. My first though was, this is too good to be true, there is something i don't know that is probably so bad for you that my MFP friends know that i don't.. so go ahead... tell me the damage. And if there is none:

ATTENTION ALL CHIP LOVERS! EAT THIS!

I found them in the produce section of Kroger (not sure if you have Kroger where you live but i am pretty sure they have them at H-E-B, walmart, ect) - they had a table FULL of dried fruits, plain nuts, trail mix,and these veggies in plain clear plastic containers

You can get these in the bulk section of Sunflower or Sprouts Farmers Market, and places like that too. Sooooo good!

I have been eating these for 2 weeks straight (the nutrition label says 45 calories per half cup). However, the other day my friend was comparing these dried veggie chips with the kind she eats..might have been terra brand? not sure. Hers are about 150 calories per ounce (28 grams). I did a nutrition search on other baked and dehydrated veggie chips and they are all coming out to be around 150 calories per ounce. Do you think Kroger mislabeled these chips? seems kinda low at 45 calories per ounce. I hope I'm wrong though b/c I absolutely love these chips!
