Ditto! I love it! I run in the woods and I never have a problem.
  • runkeeper is awesome. It accounts for elevation and intensity and intervals and your weight when it calculates your calories burned. That is why it always seems higher. I use it for biking and running. And you can set up different intervals of any time limit. :) Its free on android - i think on iphone too :)

I've used imapmyrun, runkeeper, and Nike + (all on the iPhone, I don't know if they're all available for Droid), but I've had trouble with the GPS on all of them. I live int he boonies where cell reception isn't the greatest, and a cloudy day will mess everything up. I found the Nike + the one that works best with so-so GPS. It even has an option to "calibrate" your runs. The first tme I used it on a route I knew was 2.8 miles it measured it as 3.3. After calibrating it was spot-on. Plus, I like getting positive comments from Lance Armstrong at the end and the ability use "Power Songs" to push me through my run. I liked Runkeeper a lot too, even bought the expensive full version, but it hasn't been working well lately.

I've tried several different apps and my favorite one is Endomondo. The free version is great; however, I did upgrade to pro to support the developers. This app allows you to track time, distance and calories burned for various activities. On their website you can also enter challenges for calories burned, distance etc to keep it fun. They also offer fun stats like how many trips around the world you've made and how many burgers you've burned. Good luck!

    Works great on Droid Incredible.

LOVE CardioTrainer! A bunch of people here like Runkeeper, but I couldn't figure it out. CardioTrainer is easy and does just what I want.

Yep, CardioTrainer is what I prefer as well. I use it when I walk, and also when I ride my bike. Love it!

CardioTrainer is probably my favorite app EVER. It does everything you want it to, and it's free. :) Never crashes and I've seen no bugs whatsoever. You can have it automatically start a playlist when your workout begins, and you can customize how often it gives you audio updates on your speed/distance/time. Lovvvve itttt.
