Ok... so.... you know when you exercise, you burn calories.... AFTER your workout is complete, you still burn a many more calories for about 30-45 minutes after your done exercising.... Shouldn't you leave your heart Rate Monitor on to gauge your TRUE calorie count? and report that TRUE calorie count? is that why they say to eat back about 1/2 of your calories? or is it ALL of your calories from exercising? Because if you're supposed to eat ALL of your calories back, but only counted the calories of you workout - wouldn't you be missing out on that last 1/4 of you're TRUE calorie burn?? Does that make sensE?? This VERY well could be over-analyzing things...? What do you think? (I know - it's kind of 5 questions in one... sorry...)

No. There is too much deviation in calories burned. If you do that, then you also need to subtract the amount of calories you would have burned anyway by not doing anything. You don't need to try and eat every morsel because your calorie count probably isn't 100% correct. They recently released an article about restaurants reporting incorrect data by about 200 calories.

I've never heard that before...I heard that you metabolism is higher after a workout which is how I used to justify fro-yo after the gym. Either way, I never eat my exercise calories back.

I saw a news report about the restaurant not providing acurate info about nutritional facts... scary!! My nephew is diabetic and sometimes I have to go by those charts! Good points though!
